We are aware that many people are having problems joining the club through Kent Union’s new Facebook-style website. However, if you wish to train with the club you must join as our membership pays for our instructors, the hall space and equipment. It is only £10 for a whole year’s training and entitles you to lessons and social activities with the club.
To join you must first sign up to the Union Social Space using your Kentmail account:
https://kent-signup.oncampus.net/oncampus/registration/unionreg.do?method=unionreg
However, you can use a non-kentmail account as your login address, you just need to provide your kentmail address to prove you are a student.
After you have registered go to our group and click the 'join this club' button underneath the group profile photo. You can either pay using a credit/debit card, paypal account, or with cash by coming into the cash office.

If you have done all this but are still not a member on the group – or if the system would not let you login/sign up/pay for whatever reason, we recommend that you go to the KENT UNION OFFICE (situated above essentials) and ask for Tom Marsh or Kirsty Sutton. Simply state “I Want to join the Taekwondo club but the system wouldn’t let me…” and they should sign you up there and then. Take your £10 if paying by cash or your credit card/debit card or whatever you wish to pay with.
What is the £35 UCTA membership and does it cover my club costs?
UCTA membership only covers sparring insurance (not covered by the Union’s basic insurance) and also your dobok uniform (see 'want to spar or grade', below). Although it is recommended, the UCTA membership is not compulsory, but the £10 UKC Taekwondo membership is.
£35 memberships gets you:
Membership and Insurance lasts one full year, and is renewable at the rate of £12 a year. Prices quoted here are discount student rates that the UKC Taekwondo Club has managed to obtain, you won't find membership much cheaper anywhere else!
