UKC Taekwondo is one of the oldest societies on campus, however due to problems with regular instruction it was officially closed down at the end of 2006. However it reopened early in 2007 with brand new instructors, a new committee and more indomitable spirit to become one of the largest societies on campus.

Why UKC Taekwondo?  UKC Taekwondo practices one of the hardest and most exciting martial arts on the planet, and far from the stereotype of many martial arts classes – we practice an Olympic Sport at a level many athletes would struggle with.  UKC Taekwondo will make you an athlete, a martial artist, and more importantly – it will make you feel better about yourself.  To see what we mean about the fitness, come along to a lesson and find out for yourself!

However if you're not particularly fit, do not worry! We're a very friendly society and won't force or push anyone further than they are capable.

UKC Taekwondo practices WTF Taekwondo, and is affiliated with the Combat Taekwondo School. Anyone is welcome, from total beginners to black belts and beyond. We practice every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (see 'home' page for more details), so why not come along and give it a try?
